Ed Temple has built a reputation as a trusted selector. His sets move between disco, boogie, Balearic, techno, Afro and rare house cuts, always guided by feeling rather than fashion.
As a producer and multi-instrumentalist, that same philosophy carries into his own music, combining vintage synthesisers and drum machines with live musicians. This approach also takes form in Temple Magic Orchestra, an eight-piece live ensemble that brings his productions to the stage through strings, horns, percussion, keys and live dub effects. His work has found homes on Internasjonal, Midnight Riot, Black Riot Records, Inner Tribe, Be Strong Be Free, Sosilly Records and Secrets of Sound, as well as through his own imprint, Templé Musiq.
Ed has performed at Rainbow Serpent, WOMADelaide, Strawberry Fields and Wide Open Space, toured throughout Japan and Southeast Asia, and shared line-ups with artists including Luke Una, Rick Wilhite, Osunlade, Rahaan, Trus'me, Alkalino and Hidden Spheres. Whether he is playing intimate listening bars, packed clubs or international festivals, unearthing hidden gems, championing emerging artists or crafting his own productions, Ed's focus remains the same: creating moments of genuine connection through carefully considered music that moves both body and soul.
